Valve's monopoly of digital PC gaming sales, Steam, was working to expand on their community, which back in 2009 was complete garbage and not even considered a feasible alternative to xfire. Although Valves' shitty e-sport games would eventually win it some community exclusivity, some retards were unironically using it in 2010 because they didn't know about competing platforms. Among these retards were lonely, socially retarded and underage /v/irgins looking to make their first friends. Most of the lulz is spread out among many users over five years, but the revenant of the threads looms over steam using communities on /vg/ as a warning.

A spiteful existence

SFT started on 4chan's /v/ and quickly became associated with underageB& attempting distance relationships with each other and whining about them in the threads. It became so rampant that the threads were purged from /v/, they then migrated to /vg/ where they saw an equal fate, then to 8chan /v/ and finally 8/cuteboys/. Fortunately the threads are now dead.

Quarantine list

The threads autism peaked when a user scrapped together their salt and tears and pooped out the SFT quarantine list, spamming it in the threads. For several weeks there was nothing but displeased howling and similar noises in the chatrooms and threads.
